What is ScanGo?
ScanGo is a mobile earnings tracker designed specifically for gig economy delivery drivers. It helps you scan receipts with OCR, track shifts across multiple platforms (Just Eat, Uber Eats, DoorDash, Deliveroo, etc.), log deliveries, and manage your income for tax purposes. It's not a delivery platform—it's your personal finance assistant for delivery work.
How does receipt scanning work?
Simply point your phone's camera at a delivery receipt and ScanGo uses Google's ML Kit OCR to automatically extract the delivery address, store name, amounts, and order reference. The app intelligently parses this information and adds it to your current shift. You can also manually enter deliveries if needed.
What delivery platforms does ScanGo support?
ScanGo Currently works with delivery platforms — Just Eat, FoodHub and custom recipts, with more to come. You create employer templates for each platform with custom pay structures (daily rate, hourly, per-delivery, or base+commission), then track shifts separately for each one.
Is ScanGo free?
Currently ScanGo is in test release so it is completly free to use, Pro and Cloud+ upgrades in app are also free for users who signup through through this tester program. When purchasing Pro or Cloud+ through the app you will be notified via google play "Test card, always approves" ScanGo has a free tier with basic features (Shift and employer limitations). The Pro tier (one-time purchase) unlocks unlimited shifts, HMRC tax export, advanced filters, and cloud backup. The Cloud+ subscription adds live sync across devices.
What happens after I sign up for the tester program?
Once you sign up, we'll review your application and send you an email with instructions to download the beta app and join our tester feedback group. As a tester, you'll get early access to new features and direct support from our dev team. Due to test release Google play limits subscriptions, cloud+ monthly lasts 5 minutes and yearly lasts 30 minutes. After the test period ends you will be given a 1 year cloud+ for free.
Does ScanGo help with taxes?
Yes! ScanGo includes HMRC-compliant tax export features (Pro tier). You can generate CSV reports of your income and expenses by tax year, ready for self-assessment filing or your accountant. The app tracks delivery fees, tips, bonuses, and business expenses.
Is my data safe?
Absolutely. All data is stored locally on your device by default. Cloud backup is optional (Pro/Cloud+ feature) and uses Firebase with industry-standard encryption. We never sell your data, and you can delete everything at any time. Your earnings are your business.
Do I need to be a full-time delivery driver?
No! ScanGo works for part-time, full-time, and occasional delivery drivers. Whether you deliver a few hours a week or 40+ hours, the app scales to your needs. We're looking for testers across all experience levels.
Will ScanGo work on my phone?
ScanGo is currently available for Android devices running Android 8.0 or newer. An iOS version is on the roadmap. The app works best on devices with decent camera quality for optimal receipt scanning.
